Shortlisting Criteria:

  1. Eligibility criteria: 60% each in Class X (English + best 4 subject) and Class XII (English + best 3 subjects), and 55% in Bachelor’s degree (honors) / 60% in Bachelor’s degree (general). (Note:criteria will not apply for those with minimum of five years of relevant work experience).
  2. Candidates are shortlisted based on merit rank of aggregate marks. ‘Aggregate %’ has been calculated considering performance in academic qualifications: 15% of Class X (English + best 4 subjects), 25% of Class XII (English + best 3 subjects) and 60% of Bachelor Degree qualification.
  3. Candidates withincomplete/invalid documents in line with the requirements of the announcement have not been considered for shortlisting.

 

Important notes on written examination:

  1. Written examination will be held in Two Examination Centers on 7th August 2023 (Office of the Vice Chancellor, Royal University of Bhutan, Thimphu, Bhutan and Jigme Namgyel Engineering College Campus, Dewathang, Samdrup Jongkhar, Bhutan) for both Assistant Finance Officer and Assistant Student Service Officer’s positions simultaneously.
  2. The written examination shall at the latest commence latest by 10:30 AM and all candidates are required to report to the examination center latest by 10:00 AM on 7th August 2023. Candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will not be entertained.
  3. All candidates are required to report to the examination centers with Original Citizenship Identity Card for verification or the candidature shall remain cancelled.
  4. All candidates must attend the written examination in formal dress.
  5. No mobile phones shall be allowed in the hall. Kindly hand over the phones to the examiner before the commencement of the exam.
  6. Candidates can bring calculator.

 

Written examination assessment criteria:

  1. Only candidates securing a minimum of 50% in the written examination shall be considered eligible to be shortlisted for the Viva-voce interview and a maximum of Five candidates shall be shortlisted for each posts.
  2. The examination shall test candidates in the following areas:
    • Logic and analytical, problem solving and data interpretation abilities
    • English communicative skills
    • Dzongkha communicative skills
