Dr. Hiroshi Fujiwara, Specially Appointed Lecturer at SHOWA Women’s University, Japan was on two days Research and Student Engagement visit on 18th and 19th September, 2023. The 3rd year students from BE Power, BE Mechanical, and BE Surveying and Geoinformatics were introduced to basic academic research skills and methodology on qualitative research on 18th Sept.
On 19th Sept, Dr. Fujiwara engaged the 3rd Year students on Research Experience on Game Studies.
Dr. Fujiwara has been instrumental in bringing Sakura Science Exchange Program supported by the Japan government successively for 6 years. The week long exchange program in Japan has benefitted the students of JNEC and Sherubtse College in gaining valuable exposure. During his stay at JNEC, he met with four students and one staff selected to undergo a week long Sakura program in December 2023 as part of pre-departure briefing. It will be the 6th successive year of prestigious Sakura Science program for two colleges under Dr. Fujiwara’s support and his love for Bhutan.
