On 17th September 2022 Hon’ble Prime Minister Lyonchen Dr. Lotey Tshering visited Jigme Namgyel Engineering College. During his visit, he gave an audience with the faculty and shared about the border reopening on 23rd September; which is considered to be one of the significant events in the country.
The country closed its border due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will now be reopened to tourists. His interaction with the teaching faculty also revolved around significant reforms that will take place in the country.
