Helping Hand Club of Jigme Namgyel Polytechnic organized a charity Fashion Show Contest to raise funds for disadvantage people in the vicinity. With the show Helping Hand Club aimed to raise funds through donations, ticketing and voting by the audience.
Clad in with their best attires, boys and girls walked on the green carpet entertaining the audience who in turned supported with a huge applause. A total of 38 participants including few staffs walked the ramp. Prizes were awarded to the top three winners in both girls and boys categories.
Helping Hand Club, a social service unit in the institute was formed in 22nd Nov. 2011 on advice by the director of the institute Dr. Andu Dukpa and since then the club members have been working hard in mobilizing funds and in materials to support the disadvantage people.
The money raised through the donations would be used to help children who cannot effort basic education and those people who are deprived of their basic life necessities like clothing and basic needs.
