A total of 20 faculty and staff members of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC) including head of departments, administrative and management personnel and technicians, have undergone a 5-day intensive training program on Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) from 23rd – 27th May 2022. The training program organized at JNEC was conducted and resourced by Mr Sonam Tobgay and Mr Kezang Jamtsho from Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag Administration.
The main objective of the training was to involve the participants in a hands-on experience of e-GP system. With the emerging technology it is necessary and mandated for any government organization to adopt e-procurement system which is supposed to enhance efficiency and ensure transparency in public procurement.
The resource persons were able to demonstrate and provide hands-on practice to the participants about tendering process from publishing of Annual Procurement Plan (APP) up to Contract Management. At the end of the training both training giver as well as receiver were satisfied and happy with the desired outcome of training program.
