Jigme Namgyel Engineering College is pleased to relieve all students on summer vacation and final year students On Job Training (OJT) in two phases:
1. Final Year B.E Power Engineering & all Diploma Final Year students on June 9, 2021. The total of 186 students travelled to the respective organisation/agencies to carry out the On-Job-Training (OJT), which is a credited component of the programme.
2. Current 1st, 2nd, 3rd year students completed their Semester End Examination on 4th June, 2021. A total of 453 students travelled from the college on summer vacation on 14th June 2021.
The College carried out all academic sessions under containment zone where students were kept within the campus for two semesters. The College Management felt the need to send the students on summer vacation considering their longer stay on the campus and to boost their mental health.
The college in collaboration with the Eastern COVID-19 Coordination Office, SJC19TF, Royal Bhutan Police, Military Hospital, JNEC Desuups, and Desuups from Samdrup Jongkhar coordinated the mandatory 7 days quarantine before students travelled to their respective destination. The College also collaborated with travel service providers and arranged buses on two phases for students to reach home.
The College would like to thank Office of the Dean of Student Affairs, Eastern COVID-19 Coordination Office, SJC19TF, Royal Bhutan Police, Military Hospital, Dewathang, JNEC Desuups, and Desuups from Samdrup Jongkhar for coordination of quarantine and facilitating the travel smoothly.
