A well-known professional hair dresser in the country, Mr. Ugyen Deepak from Trashigang visited Jigme Namgyel Engineering College on 15th August 2019 to advocate staffs and students on the need and importance of personal hygiene. He also emphasized on the need of professional hair dressers in the country that could contribute in services to improve hair hygiene and benefit communities.
Apart from his inspirational and motivational speech he wishes to support JNEC to establish a hairdressing salon in the campus that could render services to both staffs and students. With support from President and Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Deepak provided two days training on essential hairdressing techniques and tips to students. Students were given hands on practices to cut, trim and style hairs along with lessons on massages. As a professional, he aspires to make students understand and learn the modus operandi of a hair dresser, which will be later useful for students. With his support students are now confident to render services to staffs and students through a student initiated club with an appellation “JNEC- Styles Studio”. Therefore, college would like to thank him for his unwavering support and wish him success for his future endeavors.
