Jigme Namgyel Engineering College observed 18th National Zorig Day on 19th April, 2019 corresponding to 15th day of the 3rd month of Bhutanese calendar.
National Zorig Day is observed to pay tribute to Zorig Deity, Pel Dueki Khorlo (in Sanskrit, Kalachakra).
During the day, staff and students recited ‘moenlam’ to worship Pel Dueki Khorlo. The ‘moenlam’ recitation was presided by Lam Jigme Wangchuk of Chökyi Gyatso Institute. As a part of program, Lama also conducted Lhabsang Thruelsey of vehicles and machineries in the college.
