Homage to Late Dasho Yab Ugyen Dorji
On 18th May 2019, Jigme Namgyel Engineering College offered their sincere prayers for Late Dasho Yab Ugyen Dorji. The condolences prayer was coordinated by JNEC Rover Scout and Third year Bachelor Engineering in Power Engineering students. They offered hundred of butter lamps and recited prayers with an aspiration for his swift rebirth.
Yab Dasho Ugyen Dorji was married to Yum Thuji zam and was father to Their Majesties the Queen Mothers. He was also known as pioneer among entrepreneurs and a figure who provides charity to general public. He sponsored the construction and renovation of many temples and religious structure.
Yab Dasho Ugyen Dorji passes away on 12th May 2019 at the age of 94 at his residence in Punakha.
