On 2nd May, coinciding with the 93rd Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The Third King of Bhutan – His Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, Jigme Namgyel Engineering College celebrated the National Teachers’ Day – A day to remember all the teachers.
The celebration started with the offering of butter lamp to pay respect to The Third Druk Gyalpo, popularly known as the father of modern Bhutan, who introduced modern education in the country.
As a token of appreciation for the hard work and dedication put in by the teachers, the students gifted all the teachers and staff with a kupar of His Majesty The Third King and thanked them for guiding and inspiring them.
The President of the college, Dr. Tshewang Lhendup extended his warm appreciation all the students and student leaders for organizing the Teachers’ Day celebration.
