On 7th May, 2022, few audit officials led by the Assistant Auditor General of Samdrup Jongkhar, provided a day long Awareness Program on Basic Auditing to JNEC Integrity Club members. The awareness program was also attended by student leaders and student affairs team.
The main objectives of the program were to orient club members and concerned individuals with the auditing procedures and its operation based on the nature of the work.
The session began by highlighting the Royal Audit Authority’s mandates as per the Audit Act of Bhutan, 2018 and the audit processes. The official shared the core values of the royal audit authority which comprises of Integrity, Accountability, Transparency, Professionalism and Team work. In addition, the presentation emphasized the importance of integrity and ethics in the royal audit authority.
With such awareness program the college is looking forward to foster the values of integrity, honesty, transparency, accountability and responsibility in the behavior and attitude of the staff and students respectively.
