Dear Alumni and Well-wishers,
I, on behalf of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC) family would like to express our sincere gratitude to you for joining us in our noble journey of establishing the JNEC College Lhakhang (Chhoesham/Altar Hall). Our desire for a prayer/mindfulness hall has been fulfilled largely due to the overwhelming support and kindness that we received from you. We feel so blessed!

The total amount spent on the establishment of the Lhakhang, Jampelyang Phodrang and the renovation of Mani Dungkhor was Nu. 2,290,766 of which, Nu. 1,493,738.31 was received as donations from the JNEC Alumni, Staff, Students and Well-wishers. We are deeply honoured to inform you that the Lhakhang, Jampelyang Phodrang and the Mani Dungkhor were all consecrated by His Eminence Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche on April 5, 2019. May Rinpoche’s prayers and blessings befall on every individual!

We are now planning to further develop the Lhakhang and install Drolma Nyishu Tsachi (The 21 Taras) and a housing facility for butter-lamps for the wellbeing of His Majesty the King, Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, His Majesty the Great Fourth Druk Gyalpo, His Royal Highness the Gyalsey, students, staff, local community, alumni and all sentient beings.

My special gratitude to the members of the JNEC Lhakhang Committee, all staff and students of JNEC for going all out to make our efforts successful. JNEC staff donated a total of 15% of their one month’s salary. Thank you for your donations & the sacrifices.

The list of donors is as attached. We have been very careful in maintaining the account and the list of donors from Day ONE, however, if your name is missing from the list, please let us know immediately. If anyone wishes to visit these facilities, please let us know; our doors are always open! Thank you and may the collective merits benefit each of you and all sentient beings.
