Coinciding with the 11th Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty The 5th Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Namgyel Engineering College held its 2nd Annual Sports Day on 1st November, 2019.
The program began with offering of butter lamp, followed by recitation of Zhabten for His Majesty the 5th Druk Gyelpo’s well being.
Participants competed in events including sprints, relays, long jumps,tug-of-war, javelin and discus throws. Staff of the college also took part in short-put throws and three-legged race making the event more interesting and joyful.
The winners were awarded medals and certificates by Guest of Honor, Dr. Andu Dukpa (President of the College). The team Civil & Surveying lifted up the Champions Trophy.
