10th Faculty Research Meet
The 10th Faculty Research Meet (FRM) was held at Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC) from 29th to 31st August, 2016 with a theme “Developing and Improving Research Proposal”. The FRM was organized by Department of Research and External Relation (DRER), Office of the Vice Chancellor (OVC), Royal University of Bhutan, Thimphu supported by iGNHaS-GDN Project.
A total of 39 Annual University Research Grant (AURG) proposals from various colleges under RUB presented their research proposal during the 10th FRM. This time 11 AURG proposals were from faculties from JNEC, making it the highest applicants from a single college. This trend shows that JNEC is gearing towards research and scholar activities for excelling to be one of the premier college in the region. JNEC feel privileged to host such FRM for the first time and look for much more of such kind in the near future.
The proposal will now be refined based on the comments/feedbacks of the mentors and participants. The updated proposals will then be submitted to DRER, OVC for next phase of screening and finalization of AURG for 2016-2017.
