Shortlisting Criteria:

 For ASSO and Counsellor

  1. Minimum aggregate of 60% each in Class X (English + best 4 subjects) and Class XII (English + best 3 subjects), and 60% in Degree qualification, unless with minimum of five years of relevant work experience. (Note:Relevant work experience with minimum five Years is considered for shortlisting purpose only).
  2. Candidates are shortlisted based on merit rank of aggregate marks. ‘Aggregate %’ has been calculated considering performance in academic qualifications: 15% of Class X (English + best 4 subjects), 25% of Class XII (English + best 3 subjects) and 60% of Degree qualification.
  3. Candidates with incomplete/invalid documents in line with the requirements of the announcement have not been considered for shortlisting. .

For Laboratory Technician

  1. Minimum aggregate of 50% each in Class X (English + best 4 subjects) and Class XII (English + best 3 subjects), and 60% in Diploma qualification, unless with minimum of five years of relevant work experience. (Note:Relevant work experience with minimum five Years is considered for shortlisting purpose only).
  2. Candidates are shortlisted based on merit rank of aggregate marks. ‘Aggregate %’ has been calculated considering performance in academic qualifications: 20% of Class X (English + best 4 subjects), 30% of Class XII (English + best 3 subjects) and 50% of Diploma qualification.


Important notes:

 For ASSO and Counsellor:

  1. The written examination for the post of ASSO will be conducted on 24th July 2026.
  2. Candidates must bring along their original Citizenship Identity Card and other required stationery for the examination.
  3. The written examination will be administered to test the Dzongkha language, English language, data interpretation skills, logical and analytical skills and problem-solving ability of the candidates.
  4. Candidates must score 50% or more in the written examination.
  5. A minimum of 5 candidates will be shortlisted for a viva voce interview based on the merit of marks secured in the written examination.

For laboratory Technician

  1. All shortlisted candidates must sit for viva-voce. Candidates must bring along all their original documents when they come for viva-voce.
  2. The venue, date and time for viva-voce will be informed to the shortlisted candidates individually via phone calls.

Note: Candidates with incomplete information/application/invalid documents have not been considered for shortlisting. Candidates may appeal to the Administration Section latest by Friday, 22 July 2026, 4:00PM for any grievances related to shortlisting via phone call at 07-260203.
