The 3rd Inter-programme Conference for Jigme Namgyel Engineering College in the areas of Engineering, Information Technology and Management was held on 24th June 2019. The theme for this year’s the conference was ‘Enhancing Academic Excellence through Innovation and Research”. The Conference provided a platform for the students to present their research findings to the faculty and fellow students. The vision behind organizing such academic-research event is to bring together learners, researchers and academicians to discuss and share on research methodologies and findings from the respective works.

The conference was fragmented into three sessions, heading programmes of similar nature, presided by different session chairs and panel members. The panel members and session chairs, provided feedback and constructive comments to the presentations, for further refinement. The conference papers were selected from respective programmes and presented to the audiences based on its relevance and contribution to the theme. The paper ranged from 3D modelling of campus, rain water harvesting, improvement of power factor and load flow analysis, development of mobile app and designing of a prototype of self-regulating Smart Greenhouse. The presentations disseminated research ideas, shared the analysis from data collected and also shared way forward to motivate fellow friends.
The Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages, Mr. Hemlal Bhattarai, highlighted on the importance of such learning platform as an essential tool to promote research and explorative learning in Higher Educational Institutions. Conferences and dissemination of such nature is aimed to promote attitude and interest towards research, keep students and faculty informed of the latest trends and dimensions in their respective fields and connect relevant ideas with correct platform, mentors and audiences. The conference session was successfully concluded with motivation to keep up the spirit of research cooperative team learning.
